Orchard Hill Church partners with the Haitian Education & Literacy Program (H.E.L.P.), based in Pella, Iowa. Haitian children suffer from political strife, economic hardship, and malnutrition. By helping provide education for children, the Orchard Hill community helps build minds, lives, and schools toward a brighter tomorrow for Haiti's children. Your $100 annual payment for a primary student OR $290 annual payment for a secondary student benefits the whole community, providing tuition, nutritious food, education supplies, and uniforms. Sponsors receive a photo of the child they support and regular academic progress reports. Sponsors are expected to pray for their sponsored child regularly and send annual payments consistently. H.E.L.P. is registered with the IRS under Christian Mission of Pignon, Code Section 501 (c)(3). 100% of money given to H.E.L.P. goes directly to the student. Orchard Hill Church partners with Food for the Hungry, working to end physical and spiritual hungers in a village in the Sofala region of Mozambique, Africa. Orchard Hill helps provide infrastructure to the community and individuals through child sponsorship, and plans to begin sending teams regularly to minister directly with community members. To Sponsor a Child in Mozambique: Your $32 monthly payment ($384 per year) benefits the whole community, providing nutritious food, clean water, medical & dental check-ups, education supplies & uniforms, biblical teaching, church development, and gospel sharing. Sponsors receive a photo of the child they support and are expected to pray for the child, write letters regularly, and send monthly payments consistently. Food for the Hungry is a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and abides by all of EFCA's strict accounting standards.
