The Hederstedts
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Julie, Steve & Eric

The Hederstedts have served in Asia for several years with Christian Resource Ministries (CRM) and are personally connected with Orchard Hill Church in many ways. Julie is the sister of Chuck Shirey, member of Orchard Hill. Roger heard the call to be a missionary at age 14. He met Julie at Wheaton College. Their boys were both born in Japan, where Roger served for over 25 years with CRM developing leaders to strengthen and start churches. Recently, Roger accepted a new role as Asia Director for CRM, and the Hederstedts relocated to the United States in Roger’s home town of Salina, Kansas. Orchard Hill Church supports the Hederstedts through prayer and monthly financial support.

Dan Keegan

Dan Keegan, recent UNI graduate and active Orchard Hill attendee, accepted an one-year internship with Urban Hope in Durham, North Carolina where he has served the past three summers as camp counselor. Urban Hope helps serve and develop people in the Walltown neighborhood of Durham, North Carolina. Walltown is an economically under-resourced community in the heart of the city. St. John’s Baptist Church (a local church in Walltown) and the Navigators team up each year to run a youth summer day camp. Urban Hope invites a small number of college students and young professionals to come and experience urban ministry through living in the community and working as counselors at the day camp. The missions experience challenges counselors to deeply examine what God’s Word says about issues of poverty, justice, and reconciliation. Orchard Hill Church supports Dan with prayer and finances.

JeanJean & Kristie Mompremier

mompremierJeanJean grew up in Haiti and is the pastor at a local Haitian church along with his wife, Kristie, an Orange City, Iowa native. They spoke about their ministry in Haiti at Orchard Hill Church in September 2007. Individuals from Orchard Hill worshiped with the Mompremiers while on mission trips, and sent 80 Christmas bags to children in their community (see photos). Orchard Hill Church supports them financially and through prayer.

John & Karen Zilen

John & Karen currently live in Carlisle, England where they continue their work as pastors to missionaries providing support, counseling, workshops, and related services to help mission teams work well with one another and with the communities they serve. The services the Zilens provide are critical as they strive to maintain the emotional health of missionaries as they serve in the field. Karen is the daughter of long-time Orchard Hill member, Ida Frey. Orchard Hill provides prayer and monthly financial support.
