ROUTE 55

MINISTRY PURPOSE

MINISTRY DESCRIPTION

OHC recognizes the unique challenges for adults age "55 & better" to stay actively connected in a church that continues to grow and change at an amazing pace. ROUTE 55 is led by staff, Jean Gedlinske, along with a volunteer leadership team  and offers regular social, service & spiritual growth opportunities throughout the year.

Fitness

The Orchard Hill Fitness program strives to open the doors of the church in a non-traditional format, offering fitness classes that feature positive music, great workout and an uplifting message from the Lord.  

SCHEDULE January 3rd - May 25th 2012**
**(classes are NOT held when CF elementary schools are not in session)

Monday 9-10am - taught by Tamara*:  This cardio and strength mixed class offers a variety of activities to increase and stamina with cardio, weights, balls and more.

Tuesday 5:15-6pm - taught by Allison*: This 45 minute class is structed to have you working hard from start to finish. Class variety includes simple step, basic kickboxing, interval training, strength moves and the occassional jumping jack.


Wednesday 9-10am - taught by Kris*: This high-energy interval training class alternates intermediate/advanced step choreography with intensive muscle conditioning for a total-body workout.

Thursday 5:15-6pm - taught by Allison*: This 45 minute class is structed to have you working hard from start to finish. Class variety includes simple step, basic kickboxing, interval training, strength moves and the occassional jumping jack.


Friday 9-10am -  taught by Holly*: This intermediate/advanced class utilizes challenging segments of cardiovascular work, muscle conditioning, and other athletic drills to ensure a complete total body workout.

*All of our instructors are volunteers, yet you would never know it (they know their stuff!)

2-2-12-  Deb Lindaman’s sister, Deanne slipped into a coma overnight and is waiting to meet Jesus.  Pray for her husband Steve and their 3 girls that they will find peace amidst this storm.

1-31-12-    Donna Pohl broke her thigh bone and had surgery on January 27th. The surgery went well and she is at the Martin Center at the Western Home in Room #16. Please pray for a quick recovery.

1-31-12-  Please pray for a father of five children who might lose his job. Pray for peace and that Jesus will direct his path.

1-30-12-  Please pray for Doris Andre who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Please pray that Doris will feel God’s comfort and peace as she and her doctors decide the best course of treatment. Please also pray for Doris’ family who live out of state, and for Allison Curtis as she walks with her mom during this time.

1-30-12-  Tom Van Veldhuizen’s brother-in-law, Robert Payton, passed away unexpectedly on January 28th. He had been battling cancer for many years and was very brave through it all. Please pray for peace and understanding for Robert’s wife (Tom’s sister), Carol, and his children and extended family as they prepare for his funeral.
