Wonderful Day, TO YOU!!

The people in the world expect common courtesy.

As people of the church, we should expect uncommon courtesy. Being God’s children, we should love each other in extraordinary ways.

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
-1 John 4:16 NLT

When you love the world like that, people will know who you follow.  Thanks for going above and beyond in connecting with junior high students each week!

Here's this week's infoshimfo, freshly squeezed --->Ben

This Week @CHAOS

Sermon in a Sentence:
Your friends matter.

Understandable Message:
The Bible tells us to walk with the wise and that our friends matter.

Leader Meeting:
Starts at 5:45.  If you can't make supper at 5:15 or so, feel free to arrive at 5:45.

Special Split-Teaching:
Boys will stay in the gym, play games, share a spiritual focus, and split for small groups.

Girls will go to Bethel Hall, share a spiritual focus, have a time for questions, and have a time for experiential worship.

This Week in Small Group

If you have an issue with your small group, or would just like to talk something out, please reach out to Ben, Nikki, Karla, Kara, or Elliot.

Scripture:
Proverbs 13:20

Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.

Also, the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3.

Questions from the talk:
1. Is there anything from the message that you didn't understand or would like to talk more about?
2. Who are your friends?
3. In what way do your  friends have an influence on you?
4. In what way do you influence your friends?
5. How is your relationship with God?

Random discussion questions:

Gimme 5:  Enjoyable places to stay on a rainy afternoon. Ways to say "get out of here!" Occasions where people send greeting cards. Items people donate to charity. Examples of things you're always dreaming about owning. Things people compliment each other on. Starbucks drinks. Exciting moments during your typical school day.

Have you Ever?  Had somethin stolen? Met an astronaut? Caught a flyball that was hit into the stands at a baseball game? Flown in a helicopter. Ridden in a hot air balloon? Been a teacher's pet? Played with toys in the bathtub? Had to put up with a rude or obnoxious person?

What's for Supper?

Soup! Two choices: Chicken Noodle or Italian Sausage Tortellini.  Grand!

Supper will be served at 5:00 and it's FREE because (1) you rock (2) it is so much fun to eat together!

We will eat together in either room 151/153 or Bethel Hall.
