Wonderful Day, TO YOU!!
Floss and I don’t get along.
Never have. Hopefully will, or at least what the dental hygienist says.
She’s given me tips like to keep the floss picks in common areas like near the couch, at the computer, or supper table. I guess seeing it will prompt action to it, which I don’t really buy that theory. I’ve seen many car accidents without rushing onto starting one myself.
To floss, you’ve gotta want it. And what I’ve learned through this process is this simple reminder: Persistence pays.
First, believe in it. Do it over and over. It may become more natural. You will reap the benefits.
Some men deeply believed that Jesus could heal their paraplegic friend that they let nothing stop them from bringing their friend to his presence:
After a few days, Jesus returned to Capernaum, and word got around that he was back home. A crowd gathered, jamming the entrance so no one could get in or out. He was teaching the Word. They brought a paraplegic to him, carried by four men. When they weren’t able to get in because of the crowd, they removed part of the roof and lowered the paraplegic on his stretcher. Impressed by their bold belief, Jesus said to the paraplegic, “Son, I forgive your sins.”
-Mark 2:1-5 MSG
These men believed so deeply that they were moved to action. Nothing was going to stop them from the benefit of healing this man’s paralysis.
No matter your struggle, turn to God, find the solution, and act on it. Thanks for navigating the highs and lows and encouraging Jr. High Students in their relationship with Jesus!

Scripture:
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Small Group Activity:
Q&A Session with Pastor Brian.
If your small group would like, you can stay in the gym for a Question/Answer session with Pastor Brian. He is looking forward to answering the students' questions.
Questions from the talk:
1. Is there anything from the message that you didn't understand or would like to talk more about?
2. When it comes to finding answers to difficult questions, where have you gone for help? Whose advice have you sought?
3. What was said that really made you think about life after death?
4. How might you share the truth of scripture with someone who has questions about life after death? What challenges might you encounter?
Random discussion questions:
Gimme 5: Foods that taste awful when not combined with other foods. Items people accidentally leave on airplanes. Foods with very few calories. Objects made to be stepped or walked on. Saltwater fish. Names of women or men you consider tall. Activities people do when they first arrive at school. Attributes/qualities that make a person popular. Sticky items.
